A Credential That Cannot Be Lent
xSERVA biometric access control identifies the person, not the plastic: face, fingerprint and palm vein are matched on the reader with liveness checks and stored only as irreversible templates.

Choose the Right Biometric for Each Door
Face Recognition
Walk up, look up, walk through. Matches on the device in under half a second with passive liveness.
Learn MoreFingerprint
Capacitive fingerprint matching for the doors where you must prove who came through, with a duress finger.
Learn MorePalm Vein
A contactless vein pattern that is very hard to copy, and works with dry, dirty or gloved hands.
Learn MoreLiveness and Anti-Spoofing
Passive checks that reject printed photos and screen replays without asking anyone to blink.
Learn MoreBiometrics You Can Defend
Four design choices make biometric access control something you can explain to staff, auditors and regulators.
Irreversible Templates
A one-way feature vector. The source image is discarded and cannot be reconstructed from what is stored.
Matching on the Reader
Biometric data does not travel to the cloud on each entry, and a cut link does not stop the door.
Liveness Checks
Passive anti-spoofing rejects printed photos and screen replays with no interaction.
Duress and Second Factor
A silent duress finger or PIN, and card-then-biometric pairing for the highest-value doors.
Which Biometric, Where
| Door | Best Fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Staff entrance | Face | Hands-free, fast, no contact |
| Server room | Palm or finger plus PIN | Non-transferable, audit-ready |
| Workshop | Face or palm | Works through visors and gloves |
| Pharmacy store | Fingerprint plus card | Two factors, duress option |

Biometric Questions
What biometrics does xSERVA support?
Face recognition, fingerprint and contactless palm vein. Each can be paired with a card or PIN on the doors that need two factors.
Where are biometric templates stored?
As irreversible feature vectors on the reader. The original photograph or ridge image is discarded after enrolment and cannot be recovered from the template.
Can a photo or video fool the face reader?
Passive liveness rejects a printed photo or a screen replay without asking the person to blink or turn.
What happens if someone is forced to open a door?
A designated duress finger or PIN opens the door as normal and silently raises an alarm on the console.
Can biometrics be used with masks, helmets or gloves?
Face matching uses the periocular region, so masks and helmet visors are not blockers, and palm vein reads without touching a sensor, which suits gloved or dirty hands.
